In 2014, MIE set up a new division known as MIE-Energy Div. (MIE-Energy) towards diversifying the business to penetrate energy sector, such as Oil & Gas (Upstream and Downstream), Renewable Energy, Subsea, Power Plant and Technology R&D industries, apart from boosting young local talent in creating a multi-disciplinary engineering services in the said industries.
